My name is Daniel Paredes, I am Venezuelan and I live in Manchester, United Kingdom. I consider myself an extremely artistic person, I really like drawing and acting. For a while I wanted to dedicate myself to something different from what I had studied before until I took the initiative to study and dedicate myself to photography, since then my way of seeing things has changed radically.

As a photographer, I see the world through a creative lens. This way of life has taken me on many adventures and given me the opportunity to collaborate with some truly talented personalities. I am always looking for opportunities that allow me to explore, continue to grow, learn, improve, and expand my skills. 

How did I discover photography?

Throughout my life I have been a very artistic person, I really like drawing and I also like acting, in fact that was precisely what I wanted to do, to be an actor. With the passage of time I realized that it was a very difficult lifestyle to lead and with a lot of stress, so I decided to make the decision to study something completely new.

I was completely willing to study something new but I didn't know what I really wanted, so I started looking for types of careers and I found a video on YouTube that caught my attention that was how to start in photography. From that moment I felt a certain curiosity about that world and I began to see videos, experiences and many other things related to this topic. Photography is an art and that was the real reason why I felt interested in it. At first I wasn't really convinced to dedicate myself to this because I was afraid that the same thing would happen to me that happened to me with acting but later I understood and recognized that it's what I'm good at, what I like to do. Not for the fact of being photography but for the fact of being art. 

Many people are good at science, chemistry, math, medicine, engineering, etc. I on the other hand am good at art, not only photography but drawing and acting. 

The creation of my brand

All photographers have a brand or a logo that represents them. Some tend to create an artistic name, others a keyword and there are even some that only use their first or last name with the word photography either at the beginning or at the end. 

In my case my intention was to create something simple but strikimg.

My real name is Daniel Alejandro Paredes Arias, but hardly anyone calls me that. Many people say Dan or Danny and I've always liked it. I have noticed that many people have a hard time not only saying my last name but also pronouncing it. On many occasions they spelled it wrong when I was taking courses and even in college. I felt a little bad but I understood it was not easy so what I did was explain to them what my last name meant. They told me that it was very complicated and I told them "you can say Walls, that's the meaning in English". That little story served as inspiration to create my brand with an artistic name and to finish I decided to add the word photography at the end.
